Dice, Minimizing the number of rolled:

     When rolling for damage, minimize all dice rolled.

 

Dice rolled:   Dice translations:

2-D4              1-D8

3-D4              1-D12

5-D4              1-D20

2-D6              1-D12

4-D6              1-D20 and 1-D4

5-D6              1-D20 and 1-D10

10-D6            3-D20

10-D10          1-D100 (% dice)

     If it makes sense, always reduce the number of dice you roll in any circomstance (not just for damages).

IMPORTANT:

Concerning bonus damages for the Rank of Enchanted and Magical weapons, as well as bonus damages for higher strength: Add all damages possible into the minimum number of dice rolled.

 

Example:

If I have a Rank-6 magical weapon, I will merely add 6-D4 to the damage I can cause.

If I have a Rank-6 enchanted weapon, I will merely add 6-D8 to the damage I can cause.

If I have a 40 strength, this will give me a bonus damage of 4-D4.

Always add the following together, then minimize the number of dice you need to roll:

Weapons damage

Rank damage

Ability/Spell bonus damage (when it increases the physical damage of the weapon itself)

Strength and/or Dexterity damage

If I had a character with a 50 strength, wielding a R-6 (enchanted) Electricity Dagger and could cause an additional 6-D6 Back Attack damage, I would calculte it like this:

Dagger:                                       1-D4 +1 damage (translates to 5 damage)

Rank of the dagger:                    6 = bonus of 12 damage

Electricity enchantment:            DO NOT ADD ENCHANTMENT DAMAGES into the calculation, unless it's actually increasing the physical damage a blade can cause (Draxxen, Chopping, Cleaving weapons WILL be added into this calculation).

 

Strength bonus for 50 strenth:   +6

Back Attack ability:                   + 6-D6 damage (translates to 36 damage)

 

I would add:                                (5) + (12) + (30) + (6) + (36) = 89 (maximum possible damage).

Translated damage:                   I would roll 4-D20 and a D8+1

Note:

Keeping it simple will decrease calculation time, as well as give the needed, logical, minimum for weapon damage.
